Group Info

A Group full of passionate Vue, Terragen, Geo Control, Bryce, and anything else, artists. We are a group who actively pursue the goal of always expanding our knowledge of 3D landscaping and other renders, as well as helping others expand their knowledge, or give them a good shove into the realm of the amazing 3D art genre. We provide free resources and material, as well as tutorials, to help with the process. We have admins who don't keep themselves sheltered with the name of "admin", and we like to think of ourselves as always learning and join the fellow members as students ourselves, while trying our best to make this group a place where people can go for help.
Please feel free to join the group and be a part of the goal that not many believe in, or otherwise give up on. Our admins are on the ready for any questions and submit mentoring to those who are in need of it. Whether you work in Vue, Terragen, GeoControl, C4D, 3D Studio, or anything else, I am sure you will find help.
We also provide saturation to other groups for those who need the popularity, but don't know how to achieve it. We try to make the group as supportive as possible and make everyone a winner in the end.
Everyone has a voice, and everyone deserves to be heard. But in order to do that, expression is the only way to get noticed. If you would like to join, please feel free to send a request, and who knows, WE may send YOU a request.

Thank you
Dylan (artech7) fellow member and group founder of Vue-tuts.

Rules and regulations (I know, I hate them as well)

Now, I hate rules.... and I hate being told what I can and can't do. But to cut down on piracy and other things there are a few things that need to be known.

1. We will not accept anything that someone else created. Don't take credit for something you didn't make.
2. Do not upload any tutorials someone else made, unless you have permission, and you properly credit them.
3. Any kind of slander or pornographic imagery will not be tolerated. It is okay to submit artistic nudes and other mature deviants, but anything that is tacky and tasteless will not be tolerated.
4. Be considerate if your deviation does not make it through. We accept almost anything from beginner renders, to Professional. But sometimes things just don't make the cut. Try resubmitting again. Maybe it will be accepted.

Finally

5. Enjoy and have a great time!

If you wish to contact me please send me a note, or comment on the page. I'm not the elusive group founder who you cant get a hold of. Please contact me if you would like to know something.

Thank You!

I have a pack set in place for upload in the near future. But I would like to see what OTHER members are interested in having, rather than have me assume that I know what everyone wants or needs.

Please feel free to comment and throw some ideas out.

I already have cloud materials, atmospheres, a tutorial, and some landscapes.

But what would YOU guys like to see and have?

Please post!

Thank you

-Your very appreciative Admin, artech7

P.S. This group is growing quite well! Thank you to everyone!!

Hey all, I am stumped on Vue clouds.
From really high up they look like white squares, is there a way to make them natural looking?

here is what I mean: [link]

A couple Qs:

Is there a tutorial on using quick cracker, ie installing it and using it?

How do you sample colors from a photograph, to apply to vue terrains?

There is a verbal tutorial under the tutorial folder for quick cracker. You'll have to read it step by step.

As for sampling colors, I have never dont that, but I'll see about finding you an answer really quick here.

Sorry, about the late reply as well. I have been out for a week on a business trip.

Hello sir,
I figured out, well I was helped with the sampling colors. I basically used the eyedrop in photoshop, and entered the RGB into vue.

The quick cracker doesn't make much sense where I read that, what folders do the files go in? what nodes do you mess with them?

Hey there! Would it be possible to make a category for Bryce renders at all? It mentions that application in the group's description, but there's not currently a category for it.

I'm just starting to learn how to use it (and Vue as well, for that matter) and I felt this would be a good place to show my work :)
